Jiangsu Massoil Smart Energy Co., Ltd. is one of the enterprises under Shanshan。Shanshan Group, founded in Ningbo, Zhejiang in 1989, has grown steadily from a single apparel business into a globally leading high-tech conglomerate spanning industries such as new energy technology and polarizing films. Since 2002, it has consistently ranked among China's Top 500 Enterprises. New energy lithium battery materials are one of Shanshan's pillar industries. Through over two decades of sustained investment, Shanshan has become the world's largest comprehensive supplier of lithium battery materials.

To achieve the goal of expanding from a lithium battery materials supplier to downstream industries, Shanshan partnered with globally renowned Sequoia Capital to jointly establish Ningbo Livin Energy in July 2018. Leveraging Shanshan's advantages in battery raw materials, the company independently developed and produced battery cells, achieving self-sufficiency in core battery cells for energy storage systems.

To meet the growing demand for overseas batteries and energy storage, in 2025, Shanshan Group mobilized elite teams from its subsidiaries—Jiangsu Anshi Commercial Energy Storage Systems Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang VALCON New Energy Co., Ltd.—and established Jiangsu MASSOIL Smart Energy Co., Ltd. with an annual production capacity of 2GWh near Yangzhou Port in Jiangsu Province. The company currently occupies a production area of approximately 12,000 square meters and has completed the construction of one fully automated battery pack production line, two battery cluster testing lines, along with supporting energy storage container assembly and testing workshops. The company has obtained ISO 19001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certifications, establishing a comprehensive quality and process control management system.
