SUMMARY:
The EHS engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, coordinating, and monitoring safety and environmental programs for Suzhou Curamik site to prevent or minimize potential for injury and/or financial loss due to accident or non-conformance to city, county, state, or federal regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Cooperate with the operation and other support departments to ensure that the factory complies with local environmental, safety and industrial hygiene laws and regulations. Based on the risk control thinking, promote a zero-harm and all-staff participation culture to drive the continuous improvement of the factory in EHS function.
- Implement and respond to the special requirements of Rogers Corporate regarding the environment, safety and industrial hygiene.
- Maintain the incident investigation process. Including join the investigation team, Put forward effective improvement actions and continuously track the actions to ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of the incident improvement.
- Conduct the EHS training, work out the annual EHS training plan, follow up and implement the plan to ensure 100% achieved the plan. Maintain understanding of existing and upcoming EH&S regulations and deliver the key message to assigned BU management team, support to run the safety committee.
- Attend department activities, share knowledge and skill with peers. Complete monthly report and assigned department affairs. Lead team to succeed.
- Conduct the daily EHS management, including safety walk, hazard identification, tracking and follow up.
- Conduct the routine chemical management, including chemical whole process management.
- Maintain the emergency management system, including emergency response plans, drills and continuous improvement the process, to ensure the ERP process more effective.
- Cooperate with the Government in EHS function inspections and follow up the findings.
-Have a KPI-driven thinking to summarize the work of EHS.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor degree or above in Environmental Engineering, Chemical safety management, Safety Engineering, or related.
- 5+ years’ experience in EHS area.
- Prefer to previously experience in multinational company, experience in manufacturing firm will be a plus, Knowledge about Environmental engineering and Environmental Protection, Safety and Facility etc.
- Good English on written and spoken.
- National Certified Safety Engineer and ISO 14001 certified auditor are preferred.
- Chemical industry or PCB or Semiconductor manufacturing site is preferred.
- Major in safety engineering, chemical engineering is preferred.
- Knowledge of Process Safety Management, chemical safety, is preferred.
