The Underwriting Assistant is responsible for the underwriting and administrative supports to all lines of GI business. The role holder is expected to engage and interact with a wide range of stakeholders. It will be crucial to collaborate with the underwriting community both in AXA XL and AXA Tianping, and the AXA General Insurance (GI) Asia Hub in order to best serve our customers and manage the internal business processes of AXA XL China.

What will your essential responsibilities include?
1. Underwriting Assistance
• Assist underwriters of all LoBs in their information collection, risk analysis and other underwriting processes
• Assist underwriters of all LoBs in pipeline management, liaising with AXATP branches when required
• Register risk information in the relevant systems of AXATP and AXA XL
• Be Middle Office to manage all other administrative works, including but not limited to policy issuance, receivable management
2. People and Culture
• Develop and sustain a culture of high engagement by fostering adoption of the AXA culture (D&I, AXA values and commitments, leadership framework, etc.).
• Promote an adequate and appropriate risk culture within the local operations.
3. One AXA
• Drive and role model collaboration between AXA Tianping, AXA XL & AXA GI Hub
You will have a reporting line to Underwriting Manager Casualty of Corporate Business of AXA Tianping.

• Knowledge in the domestic Chinese insurance market, and insurance products such as Casualty & Property
• Highly driven, with a strong desire to learn, challenge and deliver
• Proficient in Chinese and English languages, both written and verbal
