Merchandiser

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Support the sourcing team to identify, evaluate and develop suppliers in Asia.
Assist in supplier negotiation, cost analysis, and order follow-up to ensure high quality and on-time deliveries.
Contribute to the optimization of supplier base and sourcing processes for international clients.
Product Categories: Food, Cleaning, Personal Care, etc.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct supplier sourcing, quotation comparison, and capability evaluation according to project requirements.
Support cost negotiation and contract preparation under the guidance of the Sourcing Manager.
Manage supplier database, ensuring all vendor information and documentation are up to date.
Follow up production schedules, shipping arrangements, and delivery status to ensure smooth order execution.
Cooperate with QA/QC teams for product quality inspection and approval of samples.
Coordinate with internal departments (Planning, Logistics, COMEX) for order tracking and shipment booking.
Assist in claim handling and after-sales coordination between suppliers and internal teams.
Participate in business trips, trade shows, and supplier audits as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
Professional Knowledge:
Experience in sourcing, supplier development, or procurement preferred.
Understanding of import/export procedures and supplier evaluation process.

Skills:
Proficient in English (spoken and written).
Good command of MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Attitude:
Proactive, detail-oriented, and a strong team player.
High sense of responsibility and time management.
Capable of working independently under pressure.
