Responsibilities:

Ø Responsibility for continuously improve profitability in COMPANY

product portfolio (OEM specific products and COMPANY standard products) within requirements by achieving cost transparency and cost-competitiveness.


Ø Responsibility for cost estimation during predevelopment, RFQ and
product development.


Ø Product cost optimization management during RFQ, product development
and series.


Ø Cost Investigation in new technology and new products and its
alignment with related department (purchasing, engineering, operations).


Ø Actively questioning COMPANY/OEM/Supplier’s product concepts and
propose other efficient concepts considering product requirements and/or its
optimization (during whole entire End-to End process and its Engineering
reviews).


Ø Cost monitoring across whole End to End COMPANY process (from
predevelopment till end of production) and propose the optimization actions.


Ø Cost estimation based on best practice approach (alignment with
purchasing, engineering, operations) and advanced benchmarking (worst case-best case scenarios).


Ø Participate on sourcing negotiations including change management
with OEMs and Suppliers during RFQs and Product Development, Full Context: Global: HQ.CTO.PR.PC Seite 2 von 4 (support with technical-commercial argumentations, 4-eyes principle).


Ø Participation on cost audits from OEM, and lead cost audits towards
to suppliers (upfront alignment with Purchasing (4-eyes principle).


Ø Sharing cost optimization ideas across organization.


Ø Adding systematic cost improvements to design or process guidelines.


Ø Analysis of Costs on Global/Local supply markets / tier-1 & tier
- n suppliers, concerning COMPANY products, (New trends/Market
situation/Benchmarking/Lessons Learned).


Ø Responsible for creating, gathering, analyzing and communicating
benchmarking information to various engineering teams.


Ø Respond to requests from COMPANY about product benchmarking.


Ø Analysis or testing at internal or external facilities during
product benchmarking.


Ø Build reports out of benchmarking activities.


Ø Facilitate meetings, displays, workshops, teardown reviews, and
relevant to benchmark product and sub-system topics.


Ø Manage workshops for product cost optimization with Designers,
System Engineers, Electronic Engineers, Light specialists, process Engineers, Program and Product Teams.


Ø Establishes a continuous improvement mindset to improve
profitability in COMPANY products (trainings in Design to Costs/Design for
manufacturing/Design for Assembly/VA-VE methods).


Ø Inputs for key initiatives related to product cost optimization as
one part of global


Ø Reporting towards to headquarter board.



Requirements:


Ø Experience in cost optimization within Electronic/Lighting products


Ø Knowledge in Electronic/Mechatronic/Design
concepts/Lighting/Manufacturing processes


Ø Good knowledge in the field of project and product management


Ø Good financial background (understanding of cost management)


Ø Very good communication and presentation skills


Ø Good skills in technical-economical argumentation


Ø Innovative, flexibility, motivation and analytical thinking


Ø MS Office skills
