Key responsibilities/essential functions include:
•
• Independently tests, repairs and modifies field-failed system parts and sub-assemblies to restore both proper operation and compliance to performance specifications
• Owns the quality and performance of assigned system parts and subassemblies
• Interfaces with Repair Support Engineering, Materials Team, and Test Equipment group in the execution of day-to-day duties to ensure optimal cost, quality and delivery of repaired parts
• Utilizes initiative and independent judgment in the performance of daily work tasks
• Performs visual inspection and advanced troubleshooting encompassing multiple variables and unknowns to achieve root cause analysis and problem resolution to the component level.
• Conducts bench diagnostic tests as required to draw conclusions
• Performs software and hardware evaluation and executes test procedures using knowledge of board function, sub-system operation, and advanced test equipment
• Independently works to improve work processes (L6S), test procedures, and part quality
• Reads, interprets and comprehends technical documentation such as electrical schematic diagrams, test procedures, system block diagrams and service documentation
• Develops and executes training plans as required. Trains other team members through technical communications and/or presentations.
• Provides strong individual contributions in the context of achieving team goals and objectives.
• Provides technical leadership by assisting others in troubleshooting, answering questions and seeking appropriate support
• Provides evaluation, constructive feedback and leadership in the development of new repair documentation
• Serves as the repair expert on assigned repairs by providing feedback to Repair Support Engineers as new repairs are developed and new procedures are implemented
• Provides technical assistance by telephone to field service personnel, suppliers and modality engineering
• Complies with EHS regulations and policies
• Bi-lingual – ability to communicate in local language and English

2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines

4. Training: Aware of and comply with GEHC training requirements
5. Knowledge and understanding of production process, work instructions, documentation configuration control, non-conforming & rework documentation requirements and operates within them to ensure that a device conforms to it’s specification.
6. Aware of and comply with Stop Order, Concessions, ESD, Calibration, Preventative Maintenance, Material Identification & Segregation, and Good Documentation Practices, as associated with this job type/position
Required Qualifications:
1. Associates degree (or local equivalent 2 year degree), or a High School diploma (or local equivalent) and 2 or more years technical experience
2. Proficiency to logically troubleshoot at subsystem and system level, using identifiable problem solving techniques
3. Ability to draw accurate conclusions from test data, malfunctions, or deviations, and assist with corrections to the existing design or process
4. Proficiency to understand and interpret basic written technical information
5. Demonstrated ability to work well with limited direction and information
6. Ability to communicate using local language and English
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or Technology related fields
