Brief description of the position:
The position holder use industrial and professional knowledge to support suppliers selection and suppliers' ability improvement; to track the project progress and ensure the suppliers' industrialization plan since nomination to SOP; to evaluate and improve suppliers' production capacity and on-time delivery.
Key Tasks:
- Coordinate and lead QTR meetings to support the selection of qualified suppliers in cooperation with other related departments, such as R&D and Quality.
- Participate and support the suppliers' process and products quality audit activities.
- Check product design; Confirm supplier's production concept, like out-sourcing component; Confirm investment scope, like plant, line, tooling and gauge.
- Fix a project timeline regarding the industrialization, product verification and production capacity ramp-up.
- Analyze the design plausibility and give optimization suggestions.
- Check the suppliers' manufacture concept to evaluate the manufacture feasibility, and give optimization suggestions.
- Regularly review and on-site check the actual project status based on the project timeline, define and implement actions to guarantee the project progress and samples delivery, and report the project status in committee and escalation meetings.
- On-site visit including Plant setup, Tooling fabrication, Tooling trial shooting, Production line setup and trial run, Trouble shooting, etc.
- Coordinating with R&D, Quality and Logistic department for OTS sample, EM sample submission and pre-series parts delivery.
- Tracking the EM verification progress and result, and take actions from the perspective of tooling to optimize the product.
- Evaluate suppliers’ production capacity in different project milestone, like regularly capacity planning, SFN1 pre-check, and SFN3 performance check.
- Confirm series capacity bottleneck, and support in finding measures for improvement.
- Design change from R&D department, i.e. Aeko.
- Supplier process change that permitted by VW related departments.
Qualification and skills required for the position:
- University degree (Bachelor/ Master) in Vehicle Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Automation/ or similar; Overseas studying is a plus;
- 1 years more in automotive sector, preferably to the experience in a multinational automotive company as SQE, PM, or Toolmaker. Overseas working experience is a plus.
- Expertise in vehicle chassis component tooling, fixture and equipment life cycle management, experience in solving sample delivery related issues, technical problems especially.
- Good drawing reading ability, able to read English drawings.
- Fluent in oral & writing English or German.
- Excellent in Microsoft office.
- Good project management skill, Project management certificate (PMP or similar) is a plus.
