Follow Caterpillar Engine Development process and procedure.
- Be familiar with Caterpillar product design and test requirement, GB, ISO, and relative regulations.
- Work on Engine Mechanical Validation test project, Work on the engine and component reliability test projects. Meet project objective, and meet development partners and customer’s expectations.
- Make engine test plan via communicating with other team members, write Testing Instructions and Work Orders for Test.
- Assessment of component before build & after teardown. Release engine build and strip requirement and instructions. Judgement on the components conditions and report out.
- Conduct of engine test execution, understand the diesel engine test and test cell techniques. Analyze test data, accountable for the test results meeting project target, create engineering report.
- Engine test failure or issue analysis, in terms of engine performance, test procedure setting, component structure or material failure. Be able to find the root cause and make professional judgement and recommendations.
- Summarize and communicate results via presentation or host a meeting with global team or regional team regularly.
- Assist to contribute to the engine development of new products and processes. Conduct engine performance & emission test, data analysis, issue analysis and create engineering report.
