先正达生物科技（中国）有限公司是先正达全球主要的研发中心之一，于2008年十月正式落户于北京中关村生命科学园，是国内首家外资农业生物技术研究机构。其新的现代化研究中心于2012年10月落成，并组建了一支150人的高素质科研团队。
先正达生物科技（中国）有限公司专注玉米、大豆等主要作物早期天然农艺性状领域的研究，用于提高作物产量、抗旱性、抗病抗虫能力方面。研究中心将立足中国，着眼并服务全球，同时有力支持先正达北美及其他区域的生物技术研发工作。
先正达将继续与中国科研院所及相关企业密切合作，分享自身的生物技术研发经验，促进中国在农业生物技术领域的国家交流和相互学习，形成中国与先正达在生物技术研究领域的双赢局面，携手为解决中国乃至世界日益增长的粮食、饲料及能源需求提供创新的可持续解决方案。
Syngenta Biotechnology China (SBC) is one of Syngenta’s key research and technology centers and the first foreign funded agricultural biotech research institution in China. Established in Zhongguancun Life Science Park in Beijing, SBC officially started operations in October 2008, making it the first foreign agribusiness to set up a biotech R&D institution in China. Its new state-of-the art facilities were inaugurated in Oct 2012, and it now employs about 150 employees, including scientific and technical personnel.
SBC’s research focus includes early-stage evaluation of new biotechnology traits for key crops such as corn and soy, in the areas of yield improvement, water optimization, and pest resistance. SBC has a global scope and complements Syngenta’s biotech research activities in the USA and elsewhere.
Working closely with Chinese academic laboratories, SBC helps to promote communication and mutual learning at the international level. In this way, Syngenta is able to contribute its experience and expertise in biotech research to the growth of China’s agriculture and help growers in China and around the world to increase crop yields to meet the growing demand for food, feed and fuel.
