Main Duties:
1. Perform all normal duties as an Architect on multiple projects and proposals.
2. Plan, design, coordinate and document overall site plans and buildings for clients.
3. Work with other team members effectively to produce a creative efficient coordinated design.
4. Conduct the following core work either independently or with a team – Concept Design / Basic Design / Detailed (Construction) Design / Work Package Preparation / Tender Documentation for your project/s
5. Ensure that designs are coordinated and comply with all Exyte Standards, Local Authority Codes / Guidelines and Client Design Guides / URS / Standards, as well as industry best practice such as GMP / GLP / LEED / Green Building.
6. Prepare, attend and manage project meetings, presentations, working sessions, site walks, site measures and design reviews with clients, contractors, engineers, authorities, suppliers and other project team members. Prepare and submit detailed meeting minutes for your scope of the works.
7. Inspect on site during construction to ensure safety, quality, schedule and compliance with all design documents. Identify and proactively solve detailing or coordination issues which may occur. Manage all relevant package change orders and design changes to Exyte’s and the client’s best interest.
8. Actively anticipate problems which may occur on projects, and avoid / prevent them from occurring.
9. Think creatively and laterally to achieve the aims for your projects – safety / cost / time / quality.
Other Duties:
1. Proactively promote safety awareness, and be involved in the Incident Free Workplace initiative
2. Attend and contribute to the CSA Monthly Meetings
3. Achieve your personal development goals in Exyte Career Compass
4. Contribute to the Lessons Learned system to improve efficiency
5. Provide suggestions, feedback and ideas on potential improvements for Exyte
Types of Experience Required:
1. Design and construction experience in General Building projects
2. Design and construction experience in Life Science projects (including GMP knowledge)
3. Design and construction experience in High Technology Industries (optional but preferred)
4. Design and construction experience in Fast Track and Modular projects (optional but preferred)
Required Technical Skills
1. Latest Version AutoCAD Architecture (mandatory)
2. Latest Version Revit (mandatory)
3. Latest Version MS Office Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint (mandatory)
4. Ability to read, write and present in English and Mandarin
5. Ability to sketch and draw by hand in order to be able to quickly share knowledge and generate solutions
6. Ability to review and coordinate drawings
7. Strong capability to manage time and resources to finish tasks in a logical manner
8. Prepare professional Reports + Specifications
9. Prepare documents for a Work Package
10. Photoshop, Sketchup, Microsoft Project (optional but preferred)
11. 3D Rendering software (optional preferred)
