Job Objective
• Experienced Exterior Lighting Engineer for China vehicles development
• Develop China unique parts together with local suppliers in China, verify results in collaboration with R&D headquarter in Germany and in own vehicle test programs
• Coordination and realization work for localization of Mercedes-Benz passenger cars (e.g. MMA, EVA2, MB.EA-M …) Support change management of Exterior parts of MB passenger cars

Task Description
• Developing China specific parts and manage part localization projects (e.g Taillamp) from styling feasibility to part release with handover to series production
• Evaluate and verify localized parts maturity as qualified components responsible person in China and serve as a contact person for both RD Germany and Joint Venture BBAC regarding technical issues
• Assist pilot runs, try outs and series productions of Mercedes-Benz cars at production plant with technical support and profound knowledge
• Support of the on-time introduction of local and imported parts for our current and future Mercedes-Benz projects in China
• Work together with cross-functional departments like product planning, quality, and logistics, set up project milestones as well as coordinate activities to pursue tight time schedules
• Take part in different technical and project meeting and present the result
Fulfill requirements of homologation processes and introduce new parts successfully to Chinese market

Education
• Bachelor degree or above in Electrical, Electronics, Automotive Engineering/Lightning, Mechanical Engineering or related majority;
Experience
• At least 5 years’ experience in lighting development at OEM or lighting suppliers;
• At least complete 2 lighting development projects;

Specific Knowledge
• Good knowledge in digital circuit, lighting structure development and evaluation regarding luminous intensity distribution, heat distribution, vibration, tightness etc.
• Good knowledge of CAD and CAL software (Siemens NX preferable, Speos, LucidShape, Altium design layout and Floeld etc.)
• Good knowledge of automotive lighting development process, test validation, regulation and homologation
• Familiar with lighting & EE components manufacture technology and process
• Good skill of lighting project management and quality management
• Chinese native speaker with fluent English language skills, German is preferred
• Good communication skill and problem solving skill
• Willingness to travel domestic and abroad to prepare prepare and support launches at suppliers
