Chassis EE systems includes many critical and driving safety related components: from EPS(Electric Power Steering), BRS(Brake Regulation System ESP) and expand into Intelligent Active Suspension Control System and TPMS(Tire Pressure Monitoring System).
Being an EPS ADAS Interface Development Engineer at Mercedes-Benz, you will have the chance to work on a wide span of responsibilities:
• Lead Steering System design work for ADAS interface per the Mercedes-Benz Development System process on various vehicle programs.
• Manage and execute software technical design reviews and releases for prototype, production, and service
• Lead and perform Failure Mode Avoidance and Functional Safety analyses to examine potential failure modes and design suitable prevention strategies.
• Working together with ADAS team to define relevant requirements to steering system
• Conduct Technical Design Reviews, interfacing with Mercedes-Benz application activities and supplier engineering (software, hardware, mechanical, etc.).
• Lead in the creation and signoff of E/E information like Device Transmittals, Specifications, and Electrical Schematics.
• Interface with other engineers, Vehicle Engineering, suppliers, and management to ensure compliance with required specifications and efficient critical decision-making.
• Conduct parameter setting & function validation on system & vehicle level
• Analyze data, identify root causes of issues, and develop corrective actions to optimize processes and achieve desired outcomes. Strong systems engineering approach to problem-solving and design. Drive troubleshooting and development of solutions for Hardware, Software, and packaging issues found during validation and launch using problem-solving best practices (8D, Is/Is not, 3L5W, fishbones, etc.).
• Provide cost-efficient and quality parts on time, maintaining ownership and governance of component-specific robustness quality documentation (DFMEA, DVP&R, etc.).
• Support Vehicle Operations activities to determine appropriate assembly and testing processes.
• Support prototype builds and vehicle launch, which may require travel.
• Identify validation, durability, and functional testing required for a given program’s change scope.
• Support ongoing warranty reduction and improvements.
