Advanced Specialist Pedestrian Protection Corporate Division: R&D Division, located in Shenyang/China Employment - full time
Tasks · Taking responsibility for the pedestrian protection in complete vehicle development and validation processes in opposite to internal and external partners/institutions. · Main focus is to make sure, that project targets regarding pedestrian protection (law and rating e.g. C-NCAP) according to BMW standards and legal requirements are fulfilled. · Monitor and support pedestrian protection tests. Evaluate the test and simulation results together with the responsible department and present status based on the results. · Communicate the results to line manager and related teams/circles and define action plans for improvements. · Represent BMW/BBA in working groups and official NCAP/rating tests.
Key Responsibilities · Coordinate, prepare and monitor the validation activities according to project synchro plan and summarize the validation documents · Define and set up test plan for pedestrian protection to ensure project target achievement · Monitor and support pedestrian protection tests · Evaluate the simulation and test results and prepare status · Define action plans for improvements and carry out necessary steps · Communicate the results/status to line manager, related teams and project circles · Support integrated safety team activities for target achievement · Support R&D other related departments
Qualifications · University degree in automotive engineering, or equivalent qualification · Experienced in dealing with conflicting goals · Multi-disciplinary, networked thinking, leading people · Teamwork and assertiveness, willingness to work abroad · MS-Office and BMW-Tools · Assessment skills for technical solutions vehicle performance · Networking and bridging cultural differences · Fluent English in text and word, German are welcomed · Experience in complete vehicle development, especially pedestrian protection including simulation, and testing · Profound knowledge of the complete vehicle development, experience in one or more property areas of vehicle safety and/or driver assistance systems · Experience in international/intercultural work environments · Management experience in interdisciplinary teams and cooperation with external development partners
