Engineering Manager – Banking Account

representing our client who is a global Wealth Management and Investment bank.
If you are a seasoned. Engineering Manager who wants to make a mark and takes
pride in contributing to exceptional facilities operations and presentation
standards then this is the role for you!
As an Engineering Manager, you will
report into the China Senior Engineering Manager and partner with the China
Account Manager to ensure the operations of all building systems and are
running efficiently, safely and cost-effectively in Beijing, Shenzhen and
Guangzhou. You will champion in achieving excellence in critical environment
maintenance management program at client’s premise, ensuring highest standards
delivered and best practices implemented. You will provide comprehensive
engineering, critical environment management and technical services to client,
with a focus on continuous improvement and risk management.
Duties and responsibilities:
Leadership
·
Develop and sustain a high-quality
well motivated team.
· Provide technical advice and guidance for
service delivery team.
Client/Stakeholder
Management
·
Manage the key client team
representatives effectively to ensure that expected service levels
are achieved.
·
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure
smooth delivery of programs and procedures.
Procurement & Vendor Management
·
Review the maintenance/service
practices of M&E contractors to deliver quality work practices in
line with the
manufacturer recommendations, established processes, tools and documentation.
·
Plan and manage budgets for
Engineering & Operational contracts.
·
Manage contract vendors for technical
services.
Risk Management
·
Ensure alignment and compliance to
established Policies and Standard Operating Procedures
for the
management of the client’s Critical Environment (CEM).
·
Ensure proper engineering
documentation and adherence to the established change
management
controls for all sites.
·
Protect the health and safety of staff
and others by adhering to and developing guidelines and
Strategies.
·
Conduct audits to ensure that all
safety procedures, including disaster recovery and business
continuity plan
and escalation procedures are in place and maintained.
·
Ensure compliance with statutory
regulations on fire, health and safety standards.
·
Ensure compliance with JLL programs
and audit programs and participate in EOS community
initiatives.
·
Adhere to Jones Lang LaSalle’s
business conduct by ensuring compliance with the firm’s
guidelines,
procedures and strategies.
Site Operations
·
Plan and take responsibility for
smooth operations of all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing
installations and
Civil works pertaining to the facility.
·
24/7 emergency call support and site
attendance is required.
·
Manage M&E scope of the projects
to ensure the quality and deliverables within the stipulated
time.
·
Extensive knowledge on UPS, CRACs, Generators and critical services.
·
Develop and implement innovation
programs and processes that reduce utility costs, increase
productivity and
savings and share learnings with the wider EOS community at JLL.
·
Continuous optimization of processes,
tools and documentation.
· Achieve Key Performance Indicators and Service
Level Agreement targets.
What you'll need to succeed
·
To be considered for this position,
you will have electrical or mechanical engineering qualifications, direct.
·
experience in managing significant
assets including commercial office environment as well as data centres.
·
You will have between 7-10 years of
experience as an MEP Engineer and have effective communication skills, holds
strong team ethics and high proficiency in managing direct and indirect staff
as well as critical owner and contractor relationships.
Other qualities and
criteria of yours
·
In-depth experience in handling
critical incident/ time critical relocation / commissioning and maintenance in
data center environment is highly preferred.
·
Maintain effective operations.
·
Proven track record in administration
of projects, meeting demand requirement including deadlines of
deliverables, and
present status updates to senior management.
·
Experience in managing the overall
maintenance activities and supervision of local facilities management team.
·
Excellent in problem solving and has a
high attention to critical details and proactive approach.
·
Membership of professional bodies is
an advantage.
·
Ability to work independently with
minimum direction and exercise good judgment in the performance of work.
·
Ability to work concurrently on a wide
variety of sub-projects and to meet demanding requirements including dead-lines
of deliverable.
·
Ability to interact with internal and
external teams.
·
Excellent interpersonal skills and
ability to work under own initiative.
·
Fluent Spoken and Written English.
·
Client-oriented with a high degree of
integrity, discretion and customer focus.
·
Flexible approach to working hours and
available for 24 hours emergency calls.
