Job Description:
1. Design, develop and deliver high-quality, interactive Portuguese language courses (e.g., Portuguese I, II, III; Lusophone Culture).
2. Develop engaging teaching materials, syllabi, and assessment tools aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
3. Foster a student-centered learning environment that enhances students' linguistic proficiency and intercultural communication skills.
4. Provide academic guidance and support to students, including organizing extracurricular language activities (e.g., conversation clubs, cultural workshops).
5. Participate in departmental meetings, committee work, and quality assurance activities.
Job Requirement:
1. The candidate should have a Master degree or above from a recognized university in the following fields: Portuguese, Lusophone studies, literature, linguistics, cultural studies, etc.;
2. Proficiency in Portuguese and English is required.
3. Minimum of three years of relative teaching experience in higher education.
4. Proficiency in office software.
5. Portuguese native speakers are strongly preferred. Excellence in undergraduate or postgraduate teaching. Strong ability in developing and coordinating the CFL curriculum and general education curriculum offered by School of General Education.
