Liangmaqiao, Chaoyang District, our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality products and services to our overseas owners.
As part of our strategic expansion, we are now strategically expanding into the mineral
resources sector. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mineral Resources Manager to lead this new venture.
Job Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying upstream mineral sources and connecting them with downstream buyers, thereby establishing a profitable
trading channel.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Development: Identify and evaluate potential mineral sourcing opportunities worldwide (types of minerals based on feasibility). Conduct market research on pricing, logistics, and trade regulations.
2. Supply Chain Establishment: Build and maintain relationships with mine owners, local partners, and suppliers to secure consistent and high-quality supply.
3. Sales & Trading: Develop and manage relationships with downstream buyers (e.g., smelters, refineries, trading houses in China or globally). Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to successfully close deals.
4. Logistics & Compliance: Coordinate with logistics providers to manage shipping, warehousing, and delivery. Ensure all transactions comply with international trade laws and local regulations (e.g., import/export licenses, customs clearance).
5. Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks related to price volatility, quality control, payment security, and geopolitical factors in the regions of operation.
6. Reporting: Provide regular reports on business development progress, market trends, and financial performance to senior management.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Geology, Mining Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory if industry experience is strong.
2. 5-10 years of proven working experience in the mineral trading industry (e.g., base metals, minor metals, or energy minerals).
3. Must have a demonstrable track record of successfully closing deals and handling the full trade cycle (from sourcing to delivery).
4. Possesses existing connections within the industry, including potential suppliers or credible buyers in China.
5. Strong understanding of international commodity trading contracts (e.g., Incoterms), quality inspection standards, and logistics processes.
6. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
7. Ability to work independently and manage ambiguity in a startup environment.
8. Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French is a strong plus.
9. Willingness to travel frequently worldwide.
