AustCham Shanghai seeks a dynamic and creative Marcom Manager to be the guardian and amplifier of our reputation. This role is pivotal in enhancing the visibility and engagement of AustCham Shanghai's membership services, events, and advocacy work.
The Marcom Manager will provide the CEO with high quality support in regard to all aspects of Chamber communications. He/She will report directly to the CEO and will work closely with all facets of the Chamber. The successful candidate will be able to work under pressure and manage competing demands.
JOB SUMMARY - Brand Strategy & Management · Develop and execute a cohesive brand strategy to strengthen AustCham Shanghai's position as the leading Australian business voice in China. · Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints, from digital platforms to physical events. · Proactively seek opportunities to enhance brand awareness and reputation.
- Digital Strategy & Analytics · Support digital marketing initiatives. · Monitor campaign performance metrics and provide insights for continuous improvement. · Assist in growing online community engagement and member visibility. · Track analytics and suggest improvements to enhance user experience and reach.
- Digital Platform Management & Content Creation · Manage the day-to-day operation, content strategy, and growth of Chamber’s communications platforms – social media, video channel, website, and email. · Manage content creation, in-house design and video production for all Chamber activities. · Ensure all materials adhere to AustCham Shanghai’s branding and visual identity guidelines.
- Stakeholder & Member Engagement · Develop and execute integrated marketing and communication strategies to generate, nurture, and convert a robust pipeline of potential members. · Plan and routinely update a comprehensive communications schedule for all Chamber activities. · Work closely with the Membership, Event and Project teams to develop and implement marketing strategies, activities, and develop marketing materials where appropriate. · Manage all advertising activities of the Chamber, its member companies and partners through the online channels.
REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field or equivalent work experience.
Language: Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese.
Experience: · Minimum 2 years work experience in a similar role is required · Good understanding of the Australian and Chinese social media and digital landscape · Good understanding of social media management and analytics tools. · Skills in design including experience working with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and Xiu Mi would be viewed favourably · Skills in video editing including experience of creation and editing of video content would be viewed favourably · Experience managing LinkedIn Company Pages, WeChat Official Accounts and other major global social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) would be viewed favourably · Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and a collaborative mindset. · Ability to work effectively in a team environment with great interpersonal skills · Ability to work independently, multi-task and meet deadlines · Ability to prioritise own workload and respond to new requirements · Experience of working in a fast-paced and demanding environment
