Optoelectronic Equipment Engineer/光电设备工程师

Job Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance, Troubleshooting & Cost Reduction – 40%

●Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns; perform systematic diagnostics on optical, mechanical, electrical, and control subsystems.

●Execute repairs using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic software; coordinate with vendors when necessary.

●Document all failure events, root causes, and corrective actions into the EMS & CMP system.

●Reduce equipment-related costs through self-maintenance, low-cost spare parts substitution, local refurbishment, and energy-saving initiatives.

Preventive Maintenance & Supervision – 20%

●Develop, schedule, and execute PM plans for optoelectronic assets based on OEM guidelines and historical performance data.

●Supervise technicians during PM execution to ensure quality and compliance.

●Monitor PM completion rates, spare parts usage, and MTTR/MTBF trends to optimize maintenance strategy.

Equipment Qualification, Modification & New Project Implementation – 20%

●Lead or support equipment retrofit, automation upgrades, and capacity expansion projects from concept to handover.

●Collaborate with process, quality, and NPI teams to define technical requirements and validate equipment performance.

●Communicate with suppliers to complete installation, commissioning, and acceptance tests.

●Ensure all modifications are documented, risk-assessed, and integrated into SOPs.

Equipment Training & Safety Compliance – 10%

●Deliver hands-on training to operators and maintenance staff on safe equipment operation, basic troubleshooting, and emergency response.

●Conduct periodic safety audits; update machine-specific risk assessments (e.g., ISO 13849).

●Enforce PPE usage, machine guarding standards, and LOTO procedures.

Equipment Documentation & Procedure Updates – 10%

●Maintain and continuously improve equipment documentation: SOPs, PM checklists, wiring diagrams, optical path diagrams, and BOMs.

●Ensure documents are version-controlled and aligned with field configurations.

●Support internal/external audits with accurate equipment records.

Job Requirements:

●Bachelor’s degree or higher in Optoelectronics, Optical Engineering, Optical Communication, Physics, or a related field.

●Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on equipment maintenance experience in the optical communications industry.

●Prior experience with optical test instruments (OSA, tunable laser, power meter) and passive/active component assembly equipment is preferred.

●Solid understanding of optical principles, optoelectronic devices (AWG, WDM, isolators, etc.), and optical module testing methodologies.

●Proficient in reading electrical schematics, optical alignment procedures, and mechanical drawings.

●CET‑6 certified with strong spoken English communication skills (required for global collaboration).

●Knowledge of ESD & safety standards and LOTO procedures.

●Excellent problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and cross-functional communication skills.

●Willingness to work on the production floor, including occasional overtime.
