Beijing No. 80 High School, set up in 1956, is one of the exemplary high schools and one of the municipal key high schools in Beijing. At present, we have more than 3,000 junior and senior high school students. It has been awarded as the Outstanding School for Art Education in China, the Experiment School for Modern Education Techniques by the Ministry of Education, the Advanced Unit of Education and Scientific Research in China, the member of the Art Golden Sail Group of Beijing, the Jinpeng Science and Technology Group of Beijing, the Scientific and Technological Activity Exemplary School in Beijing, the Advanced School for Moral Education in Beijing and the School of Excellence in Foreign Education Affairs in Beijing, Experiment School of the State Characteristic Education Project in the whole country. In September 2011, the Former President Hu Jintao paid a visit to our school and spoke highly of our School educational model that further promotes our school,s goals and objectives. Since the establishment of the international department in 2002, Beijing No. 80 High School has always adhered to ideas of taking Beijing at the foothold, facing the whole country and going into the world, by creating a people-oriented international quality education. It promotes the international education on every level through holding foreign students education, teaching Chinese as a foreign language, international cooperation courses, and international exchanges and cooperation, etc, as well as constantly achieving quality individual improvement and results to emerge. In this way, the school establishes a big multicultural family, bringing Chinese and Foreign teachers and students together, and becomes a top international education school in Beijing. The British Program and AP Program started in 2006 and 2011 in our school, which were integrated with both Chinese and foreign education resources. So far all graduates have entered into top universities in the UK, US and Canada. Presently, there are more than 400 international students from more than 37 countries and regions in the world. The students graduated from language classes from our school can be found all over the world, Many of the international graduates have enrolled into famous universities in China and foreign countries, such as the Peking University and the Tsinghua University. In 2012, there were 51 graduates of the international department coming from are as such as America、Korea、Japan、South Africa、Hong Kong、Taiwan, etc In the College Entrance Exam, the foreign students lived up to the expectation. Among them, 9 students were admitted to Peking University, 12 students were admitted to Tsinghua University, and 16 students were admitted to Renmin University of China. 5 of them were admitted to both Peking University and Tsinghua University. 北京市第八十中学创建于1956年，是北京市示范高中和市级重点中学，现有初、高中学生3000多名。学校先后被评为全国艺术教育先进校、教育部现代教育技术实验学校、全国教育科研先进单位、北京市艺术金帆团、北京市金鹏科技团、北京市科技活动示范校、北京市德育先进校、北京市教育外事工作先进单位、国家高中特色建设项目实验校和北京市高中特色建设项目实验校等。2011年教师节前夕，时任国家主席胡锦涛同志来到八十中学，对我校坚持正确办学方向，积极探索办学规律，不断改善办学条件，培养出一批又一批优秀毕业生，取得教书育人的可喜成绩给予了充分肯定。 2002年，国际部成立以来，始终坚持“立足北京，面向全国，走向世界，致力于以人为本的国际化素质教育，创办国际化名校”的办学理念，通过举办外国学生教育、对外汉语教学、国际合作课程和国际交流合作等，全方位推进国际教育，不断实现着质量的提升和成果的涌现，建立了中外师生共聚一堂、多元文化汇集交融的国际化大家庭，成为北京市的国际教育名校。2006年，学校创北京教育改革先河，开始举办中英高中课程项目，2011年又引入美国AP课程，举办了中美高中课程项目，将中外优质教育资源进行整合，形成了具有八十中学深厚底蕴的国际课程特色模式。迄今毕业生全部以优异的成绩升入英国、美国、加拿大等著名大学。 目前，学校有来自37个国家和地区的近400名国际学生。从我校语言班结业的学生遍布世界各地，历届国际毕业生均以优异的成绩升入北大、清华等中外名校。2012届国际部毕业生共51人，分别来自美国、韩国、日本、南非、中国香港、中国台湾等九个国家和地区。在外籍学生高考中，他们不负众望，有9名同学以优异的成绩考入北京大学，12名同学考入清华大学，16名同学考入人民大学。其中有5名学生同时被清华和北大录取。
