Join us as a Service Engineer and take the lead in delivering exceptional service for pulp mills across China. Imagine being the go-to expert for on-site installation and commissioning, ensuring every project meets the highest standards of quality and safety. You’ll collaborate with sales teams to identify opportunities, craft technical solutions, and make a real impact on customer success. Your responsibilities
Lead on-site installation and commissioning of equipment in pulp mills, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Collaborate with Sales teams to identify opportunities and prepare technical solutions for Mechanical and Chemical pulp projects.
Respond quickly to customer needs, providing feasible solutions with support from cross-functional teams.
Coordinate service calls, repairs, and preventative maintenance based on Valmet standards.
Document project progress, report findings, and share recommendations to improve service offerings.
Expectations for you
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Process Equipment & Control Engineering.
5–7 years of experience in manufacturing or equipment maintenance within the machinery or pulp industry.
Proficiency in English (oral and written) for effective communication with global colleagues.
Skilled in engineering software such as AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, CATIA, or Inventor.
Ability to manage complex site work and travel frequently.
To succeed in this role
You’ll need strong technical expertise in pulp mill equipment, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure. Building internal and external networks and maintaining a customer-focused mindset will be key to your success.
