Please note that this role belongs to the Craghoppers brand under the company, reports directly to and collaborates with the UK Production team, and will require an interview and assessment by the head of this UK department.
Role Purpose: To support in the delivery of high quality & on time bulk production. Maintaining excellent quality, low returns and on-time delivery.
Impact: Expectations in the role
· Specifications & Pre-Production samples: Ensure specifications are accurate for bulk production. Check pre-production samples, issuing comments from the sealed salesman sample issued by the Development team.
· Trims approval: Trims pack, accessory & label approvals.
· Testing: Carry out in-house testing of garments, fabrics & trims as required, including spray rating & hydrostatic head.
· Bulk Production: Ensure bulk production is according to original design specification for style & measure, issuing comments on production samples and communicating any discrepancies with the UK Production & Quality team.
· Inspections: Regularly visit factories to do inline & final inspections, reporting back to the Senior Production & Quality Specialists if any issues are found. Work with factory & UK team if needed to find a solution, ensuring no products ship at a grade 3 or above.
· AQLs: Issue quality acceptance letters to the factories.
· Documentation: Keep style files up to date, including all comments, testing & AQLs.
· Collaboration: Work closely with the Xiamen Merchandisers & UK Production & Quality team to ensure corporate calendar deadlines are met. Attend weekly critical path meetings to discuss production issues and escalate as necessary.
· Relationships: Establish good relationships with suppliers, factories & the UK product teams to ensure good quality control & on time deliveries.
· Compliance / audits: During factory visits, carry out basic compliance assessments using the Regatta in house forms & report back to the UK team any non-compliances found.
· Factory Feedback: Provide feedback on factories for the Gold/Silver/Bronze rating.
· Housekeeping: Ensure samples, paperwork, and electronic data are archived, accurate, and up to date.
· Other: Undertake such tasks as may be reasonably requested by your manager or other members of the management team.

Other Significant Role Requirements & Technical Knowledge:
Industry Understanding & Involvement
Degree or equivalent in fabric/product related subject
Strong industry knowledge, Interest in the outdoor industry & technical product / technologies, with knowledge of fit, construction, manufacturing techniques, Reach, legislation & compliance.
Experience
Significant experience working as a QC and working to critical paths.
5+years experience working as a clothing QC or equivalent.
Skills/Attributes
High attention to detail. Strong organisational skills with a high level of accuracy. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & meet tight deadlines. Understanding of quality requirements, commerciality & problem solving.
