1. Job Summary: Performs a wide variety of duties in overseeing and managing all aspects of sea freight export operations, to lead the LCL strategy, drive volume growth, and maximize profitability. 2. Duties & Responsibilities: Specific duties including, but not restricted to: 1) Product Strategy & Growth - Develop and execute the China LCL strategy aligned with global product goals. - Launch profitable new consolidation programs and strengthen our LCL competitiveness. - Optimize pricing strategies and drive GP per CBM improvements. - Work closely with regional and global LCL teams to align network strategies and share best practices. - Contribute to global LCL product innovation and transformation initiatives. 2) Network Development & Cost Optimization - Design and expand a China CFS network, ensuring cost-effective cargo flow. - Negotiate co-loader agreements and manage strategic relationships with co-loaders and CFS operators. - Secure competitive rates, optimize space allocation, and minimize D&D, handling, and operational costs. 3) Commercial & Sales Enablement - Partner with the sales team to develop customer-specific LCL solutions. - Support RFQs, trade lane strategy, and high-value customer acquisition. - Train sales and operations teams to enhance LCL product knowledge and drive internal alignment. 4) Data-Driven Performance Management - Track key KPIs including GP per CBM, utilization, conversion ratio, win rate, cost-to-serve, and lead times. - Analyse competitive pricing, market trends, and trade lane performance to inform decisions. - Leverage digital tools (e.g., CargoWise) for LCL milestone visibility and operational efficiency. 3. Skills & Educational Requirements: - Minimum 5 years of experience in LCL (Less than Container Load) product management, procurement, or operations, with preference given to candidates who have worked in a global NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) or freight forwarding company. - In-depth understanding of LCL pricing mechanisms, market dynamics, and co-loader ecosystems within the China market, enabling accurate grasp of the core operational logic of the industry. - Demonstrated and verifiable track record in identifying business opportunities and successfully converting them into profitable solutions, supported by practical cases and outcomes. - Strong analytical mindset, with proficiency in working with large datasets, extracting valuable insights from data, and translating these insights into actionable business strategies. - Exceptional communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities, enabling effective cross-regional and cross-functional resource coordination to drive collaborative efforts. - Hands-on experience in managing proprietary console boxes and leading negotiations for co-loading agreements, with a proven ability to secure favourable terms and ensure operational alignment. - Strong understanding of digital milestone tracking methodologies and end-to-end supply chain visibility requirements, including practical familiarity with industry-leading platforms (e.g., CargoWise). - Demonstrated track record of driving gross profit (GP) growth, achieved through strategic network optimization, innovative pricing models, and targeted cost efficiency initiatives. - Fluent in both English and Mandarin, with the ability to communicate smoothly in written and spoken forms for work-related purposes. - Knowledge of personal computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel software. 4. Inter Relationships: Good contact with all personnel within the company, with clients and vendors. 5. Working conditions: Flexible hours required occasionally. 6.
