A Snapshot of Your Day
As Financial Head of our Commercial Project Management Team within TI STG you are responsible for all commercial aspects of relevant New Unit and service projects within CN-region. You will head a team of commercial project managers/financial controllers. You are responsible to grow and develop your team, understand training needs, compile development plans, give regular feedback all while managing the load and capacity situation closely together with the Head of S&PM. You will be organizing project reviews, forecast reviews, take ownership of project excellence including understanding of deviations between actuals and budget and with that ensuring full transparency when it comes to financial KPIs of the portfolio of the projects. You will work closely together with the team and the whole STG group in a truly multicultural and international environment. You will work on digitalization and simplification within the arena of commercial project management in order to reduce further the amount of manual work. You will contribute to leverage the potential in harmonization of tools and processes in commercial project management for STG.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You will act as the trusted commercial partner of the Head of STG service and new units business in the China region as well as project managers for the dedicated projects and business, collaborating in the achievement of business and project objectives.
- You will be responsible for commercial implementation of dedicated projects including creating sales orders and setting-up project in SAP, revenue recognition, invoicing and payment terms, maintenance of project costs, bank guarantees, taxes, hedging, NCM and insurance requirements
- You will be responsible for financial Project controlling, forecasting and reporting of financial status for portfolio of dedicated projects, related KPI’s and analysis and explanation of project performance (including also in regarding potential cost deviations).
- Being the financial expert team ensuring the implementation of Siemens financial guidelines as well as compliance with local accounting principle & tax regulation
- You will take the responsibility for the integrity of books and records for the portfolio in CN and for an effective Risk Management and Internal Control System
- You will drive saving and NCC (Non Conformance Cost) minimization initiatives including co-leading the productivity program with technical partners to continuously drive sustainable cost-out
- You will lead financial planning, controlling and budgeting of the STG business
- You will support the offshore sales FIN process for new units and service projects with local CN-knowhow and striving for the standardization, harmonization, and digitalization of finance processes in collaboration with other sites or regions
- You will be the “voice of the CN region” within the STG organization and also actively drive simplification and LEAN initiatives to optimize processes, motivate change, and improve efficiency
- You will lead, support and develop the employees in the area of responsibility to ensure target achievement with a highly performing and motivated team
What You Bring
- Bachelor's /University’s degree with academic background in financial accounting
- Sufficient work experience in commercial project management, commercial sales or bid management, financial reporting and/or business analysis
- Strong commercial attitude, able to understand the business behind the data
- Understanding IFRS, local accounting guidelines and ensure accurate books and records
- Good communication skills also in English, both verbal and written
- SAP experience & experience within a Finance and Commercial Function
- Awareness of Commercial and Contractual issues.
- Good communication & interpersonal skills and proactive approach in search of solutions.
- Proven capabilities in driving change in order to lead the Siemens Energy transformation as well as eager and curious to learn and actively seek feedback impulses from inside and outside the organization

In our Business we execute fascinating customer projects around our Steam Turbine and Generator components, while ensuring profitability and Value Add to the Business Area. The teamwork is multidisciplinary and globally. The position will have many interrelations with technical and commercial colleagues both locally and globally also in close alignment with our Regional Units, customers, subcontractors around the globe. Likewise, there is contact with support areas of the company, mainly Corporate Accounting, Treasury/Guarantee department, Taxes, Legal, Logistic and Supply Chain Management.
