Formally established in June 2022, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou)(HKUST(GZ)) is a cooperatively-run university between the Chinese mainland and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. HKUST(GZ) has obtained approval from the Ministry of Education (MoE) and become the first legally-independent educational institution co-established by the Mainland and Hong Kong since the announcement and implementation of the “Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area” and the “Overall Plan for Deepening Globally Oriented Comprehensive Co-operation amongst Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao in Nansha of Guangzhou”. With a spirit of pioneering innovation, HKUST(GZ) charts new territories in cross-disciplinary education and explores new frontiers in pedagogies, aiming to serve as a role model of the mainland-Hong Kong integrated educational development and become a world-famous high-level university, endeavoring to nurture future-oriented, high-level and innovative talents.
In response to the increasingly complex challenges faced by the rapidly changing world, HKUST(GZ) adopts a brand-new and cross-disciplinary academic structure featuring “Hub” and “Thrust” to substitute the conventional one characterized by “school” and “department”, facilitating cross-disciplinary integration while vigorously developing emerging and frontier disciplines. This is a groundbreaking move in the higher education community across the globe.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the administrative work of the Office, providing logistic support and corresponding administrative assistance to the supervisor;
2. Assist in formulating internal management systems and related guidelines to ensure the efficient operation and development of the Office;
3. Assist in drafting various government documents and reports, assist in the full life cycle management and support of projects, provide data analysis for decision-making to ensure the smooth execution of projects and related activities;
4. Responsible for statistical analysis and the management of archives of the Office, and complete the statistics collection, summary, and reporting in a timely manner;
5. Responsible for interpreting policies and providing recommendation for project planning, as well as industry-academia-research collaboration;
6. Develop full spectrum of media matrices for the advertisement and public affairs of the Office;
7. Liaise with relevant industries and maintain smooth collaborative relationship;
8. Carry out other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

2. 协助主管制定内部管理相关指引,确保单位的高效运行和发展;
3. 协助起草各类政府文件及报告,协助相关项目的管理与支持,为决策提供数据分析,以保障单位相关活动的顺利组织与工作开展;
4. 负责部门科研数据统计及科研档案管理,及时完成数据统计、汇总及上报;
5. 负责关注相关产业政策并进行解读,针对产学研合作项目提出建议;
6. 开发全方位媒体矩阵, 负责副校长办公室公关及宣传业务;
7. 对接相关产业, 维系良好合作关系;
8. 跟进上级主管分配的其它任务。
任职资格:
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in Journalism and Communication, Public Affairs, or Laws are preferred; candidates with education conducted in English are also preferred;
2. At least 4 years of working experiences, familiar with the environment in Guangzhou; candidates with relevant experiences—such as executive support in universities, research institutes, government or other large organizations, brand building, or project coordination—are preferred.
3. Familiar with social media operation and large scale event organization;
4. Strong service orientation, teamwork, and strong sense of responsibility, with an outgoing personality and good execution and pressure-handling abilities;
5. Quick learning ability, capable of working independently, with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work;
6. Efficient time management, communication and coordination skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and a willingness to take on challenges;
7. Proficiency in both Chinese and English communications;
8. Skillful in using office software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
资历要求:
1. 学士或以上学历,新闻传播、公共事务、法学专业优先;有全英授课背景优先;
2. 拥有4年或以上工作经验,熟悉广州地区环境,具备高校、科研院所、行政机构或其他大型机构高管支持经验、品牌建设工作经验、项目协调相关工作经验等相关经验者优先;
3. 熟悉网络媒体运作,具有组织大型活动经验;
4. 服务意识、团队合作及责任心强,性格外向、具有良好的执行力和承压能力;
5. 快速学习能力强,能独立及时、严谨细致、高质量完成工作;
6. 高效的时间管理和沟通协调能力,能有效处理并行任务,并乐于接受挑战;
7. 优秀的中英双语表达能力;
8. 熟练使用Word、Excel、Power Point等多种办公软件。
This is a Mainland appointment, and the appointee will be offered a contract by HKUST(GZ) entity in accordance with the Mainland labor laws and regulations.
