Position Overview
We are seeking an Accounting Assistant with 1–3 years of relevant experience to join our Tianjin office within the Firm’s Accounting and U.S. Tax practice. The position supports a portfolio of U.S.-focused and multinational client engagements and is primarily involved in accounting operations, financial reporting support, and U.S. tax compliance assistance within a structured professional environment.
The role includes participation in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes, including maintenance of accounting records, preparation of routine journal entries, assistance with account reconciliations, and support of period-end closing procedures. Financial reporting is performed in accordance with applicable accounting standards, including U.S. GAAP where relevant, and the Accounting Assistant contributes to the accuracy and completeness of financial information through structured documentation and data organization.
In addition, the role supports U.S. corporate income tax compliance by assisting in the preparation and organization of financial data for Forms 1120, 1120S, and 1065, and supports multi-state sales tax compliance processes through data reconciliation and filing preparation assistance. The position may also involve participation in audit support activities and preparation of supporting schedules under supervision.
The role is performed within a professional CPA firm framework emphasizing documentation discipline, technical consistency, and quality control, and includes regular collaboration with senior team members and continued technical development.

Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting records and perform routine bookkeeping procedures
- Prepare standard journal entries, accruals, and reclassification entries under supervision
- Assist in preparing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Support month-end and year-end close processes through documentation preparation and data organization
- Prepare and maintain organized working papers and supporting financial documentation
- Assist in compiling financial information required for U.S. corporate income tax filings, including Forms 1120, 1120S, and 1065
- Support preparation of basic tax workpapers and book-to-tax reconciliation schedules under guidance
- Assist with multi-state sales tax processes by organizing revenue and tax data and supporting filing preparation
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and assist in identifying discrepancies
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation requested during financial and tax audits
- Coordinate with team members to collect and organize client-provided financial information
- Ensure assigned work is completed accurately and in accordance with firm documentation and quality control standards
- Follow technical guidance from senior staff and complete assigned tasks within established timelines
- Participate in internal training and progressively develop accounting and tax technical knowledge
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or public accounting experience
- Practical experience preparing routine journal entries and assisting with account reconciliations
- Basic understanding of financial reporting and period-end close processes
- Familiarity with U.S. GAAP concepts preferred
- Exposure to U.S. corporate income tax or sales tax compliance processes preferred
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to prepare and organize supporting schedules and working papers
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with structured financial data
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines within a professional services environment
- Ability to work independently on routine tasks and follow technical guidance for more complex assignment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese
- Commitment to maintaining professional standards, integrity, and confidentiality
