Objective:
1. Develop restraint components for MB China local produced vehicles and ensure all project milestones are reached.
2. Represent the restraint component development in the overall vehicle project and work with surrounding functional teams. (e.g. RD interior, Quality, Purchasing, …)
3. Responsible for release the components according to project milestones.
4. Lead and support issue solving and align counter measures within RD and other functional teams.
5. Supplier management for restraint system development project.
Main Task:
1. Leading design and construction of restraint system China specific components in collaboration with R&D headquarter in Germany from the “P” phase until SOP.
2. Work together with cross-functional departments like RD interior, Overall vehicle, MP and BBAC and ensure all project milestones are guaranteed and issues are solved in time.
3. Supplier management in accordance to MBC part development process(qualify, supervise and monitor the external engineering offices).
4. Lead the localization of the restraint system components and ensure all the technical requirements are fulfilled.
5. Troubleshooting, failure analysis, risk assessment and counter measurer evaluation: Assist pilot runs, try outs and series productions of Mercedes-Benz cars at the production plant with technical support and profound professional knowledge.
6. Take part in different technical and project meeting and present the results
Education:
• University degree in mechanical/automotive engineering
Experience:
• More than 5 years’ working experience in restraint system components development and industrialization
• Experienced on dealing complex situation as well as on issue solving
• Experienced on supplier management
• Experienced and confident on conflict management and balance different stake holder interest
Specific Knowledge:
• Good knowledge of restraint system development and industrialization processes
• Teamwork spirit, strong intercultural competence, and strong communication skills with various hierarchy levels
• Self-driven working attitude and initiative
• Willingness to travel domestic and abroad of: audit, issue solving, on-site testing status check etc.
• Good skills on work planning, problem solving and reporting
• Strategic thinking mindset and strategic planning skills
