职位描述
- Analyze and optimize transportation network shipment arrangements via
solution design for CIP initiations to assure best selection of transport models and carriers, as well as shipment consolidations, so as to achieve the cost saving and freight spent target of GTOC-C.
- Optimize transport arrangements by best selection of transport modes and carriers, shipment consolidation as well as effective management of carriers.
Key Outcomes:
- Continuous improvement of transport network through CIP data analysis and solution design.
- Support Caterpillar in realizing freight savings via possible LTL/FTL
mode selection and shipment consolidation.
- Support CAT logistics to prepare bidding data collection.
- Support CAT logistics to test new system or system’s new function and ensure these can move to production environment smoothly.
- Ensure timely and accurate arrangement of transport orders for operations
Position Accountabilities:
- Analyze network performance/ operations quality as requested by management.
- Design proper CIP solutions and provide modelling services to customers.
- Ensure designed and implemented CIPs fit the operational reality.
- Drive optimization of already implemented CIPs.
- Provide reporting to management on regular basis regarding realized savings for the network as well as for each single facility split into various saving models.
- Gather and analyze necessary data to support continuous saving initiations. Support CAT logistics to prepare Bidding data collection.
- Calculate CIP billing and cost saving.
- Ensure 100% data integrity and proper management of information.
- Selects correct transport modes, carriers as well as consolidates shipments to realize maximum possible freight savings. Ensure high truck-space utilization rate.
- Perform any special duties/ reports or projects assigned by Management.
Relevant Education
Background, Hard Skill, Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor degree or higher, preferably in Logistics Management/ SCM/ Transport Management or Information System Management.
- Ground transportation knowledge.
- Minimum 4 years' experience in transport operations, IT knowledge is a plus.
- Excellent skills in MS Excel.
- Good communication skill in both English and Chinese, oral and written.
- Strong focus on details, sense of responsibility and analytical nature.
