Product Engineer/光模块产品工程师

岗位职责:

Product Cost Optimization (35%)

●Continuously review and optimize manufacturing processes, and develop innovative, intelligent workflows to reduce labor hours and cycle time.

●Drive down product BOM cost through robust process engineering, validation and introduction of new materials, and reduction of material scrap, thereby enhancing overall product competitiveness.

●Consistently improve First Pass Yield (FPY) and material utilization rates to meet quality targets and achieve cost reduction objectives.

Product Maintenance & Failure Resolution (25%)

●Demonstrate deep expertise in assigned product technologies and lead failure analysis based on scientific principles.

●Execute proficient Root Cause Analysis (RCA) utilizing advanced engineering tools including Design of Experiments (DoE), Fishbone Diagram, 5 Whys, and Six Sigma methodologies to identify underlying failure drivers.

●Develop and implement effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to eliminate recurrence of failures.

●Update and maintain critical process documentation including Work Instructions, Quality Control Plans (QCP), and FMEAs post-PCP, and revise them based on RCA findings and process improvements.

●Train production operators to ensure strict compliance with established process standards.

New Product Introduction (NPI) Support (20%)

●Provide DFX (Design for X) support during the early product lifecycle to enhance design for manufacturability and reliability.

●Conduct comprehensive pre-PCP process audits to validate and incorporate lessons learned from new product development.

●Partner with NPI, R&D, and Engineering teams to provide critical PE support, ensuring seamless transition of new projects to Mass Production (MP).

●Analyze customer requirements and collaborate with Sales, PLM, R&D, and NPI teams to develop competitive technical proposals and pricing strategies.

●Enhance production reliability by implementing process improvements based on lessons learned and RCA outcomes.

●Lead RMA failure analysis, generate detailed Failure Analysis (FA) reports, and provide clear rework instructions.

Product Reliability Enhancement (10%)

●Drive production reliability improvements through targeted process optimizations based on lessons learned and RCA findings.

●Lead RMA failure analysis initiatives, produce comprehensive FA reports, and define effective rework protocols.

Customer Engagement & Support (10%)

●Deliver high-level technical support to customers and act as the primary technical lead for customer audits and site visits.

任职要求:

●Bachelor’s degree or above in Optics, Telecommunications, Physics, Electronics, Photonics, Mechanics, Automation, or a closely related technical discipline. Master’s degree is preferred; PhD is preferred for Automation-related roles.

●Minimum 3+ years of progressive work experience in the Optical Communications / Electronics Manufacturing industry or equivalent.

●Prior experience in Product Engineering is highly desirable.

●Proven track record in EDFA, ILS (System Product), OCM, Yield Enhancement, and Cost Reduction initiatives.

Strong capability to lead complex product failure investigations and execute thorough Root Cause Analysis.

●Solid project management skills to effectively track project progress and facilitate timely resolution of project gating issues.

●Fluent in English (CET-6 or equivalent) with excellent listening, speaking, reading, and writing proficiency.

●Strong grasp of optical theories, enabling the formulation of testable hypotheses based on experimental observations and data analysis.

●Proficiency in utilizing quality analysis tools, specifically Minitab for Design of Experiments (DoE), Pareto-based yield analysis, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) monitoring.
