职位描述
Position Summary: seeking a BIM & CAD Lead Engineer to lead the development of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing shop drawings. The BIM & CAD Lead Engineer will interpret the design drawing packages in order to prepare complete plans, elevations and details for use in the manufacturing and construction process. The BIM & CAD Lead Engineer may also work within the design process to prepare design drawings in parallel with production shop drawings. This role requires close collaboration with project managers, job captains, engineers, architects, consultants, and production team members to facilitate high-quality, code-compliant, and efficient building construction.
Job Responsibilities:
• Review the project contract, specifications and design drawings to determine the project scope and systems.
• Develop 2d shop drawing packages in AutoCAD.
• Develop 3d models and shop drawing packages in Revit.
• Develop and implement standards for Bill of Material generation in Revit.
• Identify potential conflicts within the design and work closely with the design team to find resolution.
• Work closely with the production team to verify means and methods
• Develop shop drawing packages including plans, elevations, assembly details, schedules, and bills of material.
• Perform QA/QC to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with codes and project standards.
• Provide technical support during construction, including RFIs and shop drawing reviews.
• Stay current with applicable building codes, industry requirements, and construction technologies.
Qualifications:
• 6+ years of professional experience in architecture, structural engineering, MEP engineering or a related field.
• 6+ years previous experience in the development of construction documents.
• 2+ years in a VDC environment.
• 4+ years of professional experience using Revit.
• 2+ years of professional experience using AutoCad.
• Experience using Revit Structural and Systems (MEP) design tools.
• Experience working in a Revit cloud environment (BIM 360 / BIM Collaborate Pro).
• Experience reviewing and interpreting building codes.
• Experience using Bluebeam for QA/QC review.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
