As part of our strategic expansion, we are now entering the oil products sector. We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Oil Products Trader to lead this new business initiative from the ground up and drive our entry into the energy trading market.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Product Oil Trader to lead our new energy business venture. In this key role, you will build upstream and downstream networks from scratch, evaluate deal feasibility, and execute transactions to drive our expansion into the oil trading sector.
Key Responsibilities
Upstream & Downstream Resource Development
1. Independently develop and maintain upstream supply channels for oil products all over the world (e.g., refineries, large oil depots, wholesale distributors).
2. Build and expand downstream customer networks (e.g., industrial end-users, traders, gas stations) to establish reliable sales channels.
3. Cultivate long-term relationships with key partners to ensure a stable supply chain and continuous business growth.
4. Conduct comprehensive feasibility analyses for each potential transaction, including market price trends, cost estimations, profit margins, and capital turnover cycles.
5. Assess business risks (e.g., price volatility, policy changes, credit risks) and propose effective risk control measures.
6. Lead contract negotiations and oversee deal execution, ensuring full compliance and smooth operational flow.
7. Monitor domestic and international oil product market trends, policy updates, and industry developments in real time.
8. Develop purchasing and sales strategies based on market intelligence to support informed decision-making.
9. Prepare regular market analysis reports to guide business pacing and inventory management.
10. Work closely with internal teams (Sourcing, Finance) to ensure seamless deal execution from start to finish.
11. Coordinate logistics resources (storage, transportation) to guarantee timely and secure product delivery.
Education
1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Petrochemical Engineering, International Trade, Marketing, Economics, or related fields preferred.
Experience
2. 5-10 years of hands-on experience in oil product trading or related fields, with proven ability to operate independently.
3. Candidates with existing upstream/downstream resources (refineries, major traders, end-users) are strongly preferred.
4. Track record of successfully executed oil product transactions is a plus.
Technical Skills
5. In-depth knowledge of oil product trading processes, pricing mechanisms, and key risk control points.
6. Strong market insight and data analysis skills to quickly assess market movements.
7. Familiarity with relevant policies and regulations in the oil product industry (e.g., consumption tax, quotas, storage requirements).

8. Excellent negotiation skills and ability to integrate diverse resources.
9. Results-oriented, resilient, and capable of driving new business independently.
