As part of our strategic expansion, we are venturing into the overseas engineering project sector, with a current focus on petrochemical engineering projects. We are seeking an experienced engineering professional to lead this new business initiative and drive its growth.
Job Summary
We are now seeking a visionary and results-driven Business Head to lead this new division, build and operate the entire business system, and drive the sustainable growth of our overseas project.
Key Responsibilities
1. Overall Business Strategy & Operation: Formulate medium and short-term development strategies and annual business objectives for the overseas project business division, based on the project demands of key African clients and other overseas market characteristics; track the achievement of business objectives, conduct regular business data review and strategy optimization, and be fully responsible for the business performance of the division.
2. Supply Chain Development & Management: Identify, evaluate and screen high-quality domestic suppliers for petrochemical spare parts, construction materials and other project supplies; build a qualified supplier database, conduct regular supplier performance evaluation, and maintain long-term stable cooperative relationships to ensure the timeliness, quality and cost-effectiveness of material supply.
3. General Contractor Recommendation: Source and recommend qualified general contracting (EPC) companies in China that meet the technical and commercial requirements of overseas project owners.
4. Project Matching: Analyse overseas owner project specifications and match them with appropriate domestic resources, ensuring technical compatibility and cost-effectiveness.
5. Market & Industry Insight: Track the price trend, supply capacity and local trade policies of petrochemical spare parts and construction materials; collect industry information of overseas EPC projects and civil infrastructure construction, and provide data support for the company’s business expansion and strategy adjustment.
6. Business Travel: Conduct short-term overseas business trips as needed to meet with owners, understand project requirements, and support business development efforts.
7. Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with internal teams to align sourcing strategies with company objectives and owner needs.
Qualifications
1. Education & Experience
-Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering (Petrochemical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related fields preferred).
-5–10 years of work experience in engineering, project management, or technical sourcing roles.
-Background in petrochemical, oil & gas, or industrial engineering sectors is highly preferred.
2. Technical Knowledge
-Understanding of engineering project lifecycles and procurement processes.
-Familiarity with equipment and materials used in petrochemical or industrial projects is a strong advantage.
-Basic knowledge of EPC project models and supplier evaluation.
3. Skills & Competencies
-Strong analytical and research skills to assess supplier capabilities and project requirements.
-Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interface with suppliers and overseas owners.
-Ability to work independently and take ownership of new business initiatives.
-Proficiency in MS office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
4. Language
-Fluent in English (both written and spoken) to communicate effectively with international owners.
-Mandarin Chinese (native or professional proficiency).
