OVERALL PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:
To accelerate Life Science’s digital & AI transformation and efficiently leverage global vibrant data and AI ecosystem for actionable commercial intelligence in China. Acting as a business solution orchestrator, this role bridges business stakeholders and AI architects. Rather than focusing on deep technical development, it emphasizes agile delivery, translating commercial pain points into scalable AI use cases, managing end-to-end execution, and driving adoption. Ultimately, this role embeds AI into commercial processes, positioning it as a "Growth & Intelligence Engine" to power closed-loop marketing within CE&TS.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Responsible for End-to-End solution delivery (Agile Execution): Lead the full lifecycle of AI initiatives, from ideation, scoping, and business case design to PoC delivery, scaling, and continuous iteration to ensure timely, high-quality, and outcome-driven delivery.
2. Use case design & prioritization: Translate complex business challenges into concrete, actionable AI use cases. Prioritization to ensure resources are strictly focused on initiatives that feed the AI powered marketing closed-loop.
Design and deliver structured AI knowledge assets (e.g., commercial insights repositories, domain-specific knowledge bases, prompt libraries, and reusable skills) to enable scalable and consistent solutions grounded in Merck’s rigorous scientific standards.
3. Bridge the Tech-Business gap: Act as the central bilingual node. Communicate business requirements clearly to technical architects, while managing business stakeholders' expectations regarding technical feasibility, timelines, and compliance.
4. Innovation & external ecosystem engagement: Stay at the forefront of AI trends (e.g., Harness AI Agents, RAG, GEO) and identify opportunities to apply emerging technologies to commercial scenarios. Engage with both internal technical experts and external partners where relevant to accelerate innovation and bring best-in-class solutions into the organization.
5. Act as an internal AI consultant: Orchestrating internal and external expertise to improve AI literacy in commercial teams. Focus on boosting the overall proficiency in AI application and hands-on practical capabilities in CE&TS.
6. Feedback Loop Optimization: Continuously gather frontline user feedback, identify friction points in the AI tools, and feed this data back into the agile development cycle for continuous tool refinement.
7. Standardize and productize successful AI use cases into reusable solutions or capabilities. Define deliverables, outcome indicators, and performance metrics, ensuring clear demonstration of commercial value and effective storytelling.
8. Facilitate workshops, discussions, and opportunity assessment sessions to identify improvement areas, align stakeholders, and drive innovative commercial solutions.
9. Newly identified responsibilities related to AI solutions and team priorities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Minimum of 5–8 years of proven experience in agile project management, digital transformation, commercial excellence, or technology consulting.
2.Bachelor’s degree or above, paired with a deep passion for digital enablement and AI-driven solution building.
3.Strong ability to translate business needs into use cases, with demonstrated experience delivering measurable business impact.
4.Hands-on experience in managing end-to-end AI or advanced analytics projects using agile methodologies.
5.Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts (e.g., GenAI, RAG, AI Agents) and their practical application in business scenarios; not required to code but able to work effectively with technical teams.
6.Experience in building or leveraging knowledge bases, data assets, or content structures to support scalable AI solutions.
7.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical teams and influence senior leaders.
8.Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, outcome-driven mindset and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
9. Highly data-driven with a sharp business sense; capable of defining clear KPIs, evaluating business impact, and proving the commercial ROI of AI initiatives.
10.Fluent in English; Mandarin proficiency is a strong plus for operating in the China business environment.

主要工作职责
1.端到端方案交付(敏捷执行):主导 AI 项目全生命周期,涵盖创意构思、范围界定、商业方案设计、概念验证(PoC)交付、规模化落地及持续迭代,确保项目按时、高质量、以结果为导向交付。
2.应用场景设计与优先级排序:将复杂商业挑战转化为具体、可落地的 AI 应用场景;合理排序优先级,确保资源聚焦于支撑 AI 赋能营销闭环的核心项目。
搭建结构化 AI 知识资产:设计并输出标准化 AI 知识资产(如商业洞察库、领域知识库、提示词库、可复用能力模块),依托默克严谨的科学标准,实现 AI 方案的规模化、标准化输出。

3.衔接业务与技术:担任双语沟通枢纽,向技术团队清晰传递业务需求,同时向业务方同步技术可行性、项目周期及合规要求,管理各方预期。
4.创新与外部生态联动:紧跟 AI 前沿趋势(如 AI 智能体、检索增强生成 RAG、基因地理数据库 GEO),探索新兴技术在商业场景的应用机会;联动内部技术专家与外部合作伙伴,加速创新落地,引入行业顶尖解决方案。
5.内部 AI 顾问角色:统筹内外部专业资源,提升商业团队的 AI 素养;重点强化商业卓越与技术服务部全员的 AI 应用能力及实操水平。
6.优化反馈闭环:持续收集一线用户反馈,定位 AI 工具使用痛点,反哺敏捷开发流程,推动工具持续优化迭代。
7.标准化与产品化:将成熟的 AI 应用场景标准化、产品化为可复用方案 / 能力;明确交付成果、成效指标、绩效衡量标准,清晰呈现商业价值并完成成果汇报。
8.跨部门协作推动:组织研讨会、专题讨论、机会评估会议,挖掘改进方向、对齐各方诉求,推动创新商业解决方案落地。
9.其他:承担与 AI 解决方案及团队优先级相关的新增工作职责。
