Mission of the Role: The Technical Quote Lead is part of the Displays organization and is responsible for
is responsible for leading new business pursuits and quotes for new products, managing should
cost/should-price to increase winning rates, and coordinating with all functions (Customer Regional
Engineering, Hardware & Platform Software teams, Product Validation, Program & Commodity
Purchasing, and Manufacturing). They also lead and coordinate associated internal engineering
activities. This role will have a clear understanding of why, what, and when of an assigned product and
will communicate its story and the business value concisely to all stakeholders.
Key Stakeholders: Multiple internal cross-functional stakeholders (example: sales, manufacturing,
engineering); OEM customers; strategic suppliers.
Key Objectives of the Role:
Technical Lead for RFx Quotations:

Lead global engineering team.
Direct engineering team for new product line pursuits/quotes.
Review new product requirements (Mechanical, HW, SW).
Coordinate technical deliverables for quote timeline.
Develop optimal designs and review BOM costs.
Ensure timely completion of quote documentation (TDR, BOM, assumptions).
Work with Product Management & commercial team on cost targets.
Identify and initiate long lead items.
Align make/buy strategy with Manufacturing & Purchasing.
Review supplier quotes with Purchasing.
Optimize assembly process with Manufacturing.
Develop delivery timeline with Chief Engineer.
Lead development of demo properties.
Should Cost/Should Price:
Lead should-cost and should-price estimations (Display, Lens, eBOM, mBOM).
Review should-cost and should-price with stakeholders.
Collaborate with Purchasing and Customer Groups on cost/price targets.
Align strategies on winning cost targets and prices with related teams and management.
Process Compliance:
Ensure compliance during the quote process.
Support customer milestones and requirements.
Support product demonstrations (Tech shows, etc.).

Innovative Business Models: Implement new business models and supply chain
opportunities.
Warranty Issue Resolution: Timely root cause analysis and corrective actions for returns.

RFQ Acquisition: Secure RFQs from auto OEMs to ensure significant lifetime value for the
Display business.
Technology Leadership: Introduce cutting-edge technologies to drive product and feature
competitiveness.
Collaborative Ecosystem: Collaborate with Tier 2 suppliers and cross-functional teams to
develop a joint "go to market" strategy.
Talent Development: Attract and develop technical talent to drive initiatives and achieve
desired results.
Cost Optimization: Create product value propositions and cost reduction proposals to
optimize costs.
Customer Engagement: Define and communicate clear storylines for products and
technologies to enhance customer engagement.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
Bachelor of Science in technical discipline, engineering, or a related field, with equivalent
experience.
5+ years of experience in launching automotive displays products.
Over 10 years of successful experience in the engineering/product development life cycle,
including more than 5 years in a global leadership role specializing in display technology and
quote management.
Proven ability to lead and manage multiple high-stakes projects.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with global cultural sensitivity.
Deep understanding of hardware, mechanical, and software design.
Extensive experience in the displays technology domain.
Skilled in generating and managing Requests for Quotations (RFQs).
Proficient in part selection and negotiations with suppliers.
Self-driven leader with a track record of guiding global teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional
teams.
