Mechanical Engineering Manager

Mission of the Role: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Manager
to lead our global engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the
design, development, and validation of mechanical components for automotive display systems. This
role involves providing technical leadership, managing a team of engineers, and working closely with
cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of mechanical designs into vehicle
platforms.
Key Objectives of the Role:
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, fostering a
collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Mechanical Design Oversight: Oversee the development and design of mechanical components
for automotive display systems, ensuring they meet customer requirements and industry
standards.
• Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs into
vehicle platforms, ensuring seamless operation and compatibility.
• Validation: Ensure validation testing of mechanical components to guarantee performance,
reliability, and compliance with specifications.
• Troubleshooting: Provide expert guidance in diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to
mechanical components, supporting development and production phases.
• Requirements Management: Define and manage mechanical system requirements, ensuring
alignment with customer needs and project goals.
• Documentation: Ensure the creation and maintenance of detailed documentation for
mechanical designs, test plans, and validation results.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement activities to enhance mechanical
system performance and reduce development time.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in launching automotive mechanical components.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and validation techniques.
• Exceptional project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects
simultaneously.
• Proficient in understanding hardware, mechanical, and software design intricacies.
• Expertise in high-level system analysis.
• Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking) to effectively collaborate with
global teams and customers.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, PowerBI, and SharePoint).
• Proficiency in relevant software tools such as CAD software.
• Skilled in collaborating with suppliers for part selection and negotiation.
• Bonus: Understanding of hardware architectures and implementation for various products.
