JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the execution of Quality Assurance projects in Intertek CEAs QA department. The focus of the work is on solar cell QA and assignments may extend to other PV technology like module, racking or battery. The Senior Quality Control Engineer will execute factory QA jobs, train team members and regularly interact with clients and suppliers. He/she will continuously stay on top of technological developments and make active suggestions in process improvements.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
This position reports to QA project manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
Listed examples are illustrative and representative of the tasks required of this position and are not intended to be complete or exclusive. Duties may include the following:
· Coordinate quality control projects with factories, with a primary focus on solar cell production lines (incoming wafer inspection, diffusion, etching, PECVD, printing, testing/sorting etc.).
· Manage end-to-end quality projects – review technical requirements in proposals, review and evaluate inspection requirements to estimate and control budgets, execute projects, lead project closing and summary, coordinate internal and external communications with clients and factories, and deliver projects on scope, on time, and on budget.
· Travel extensively to factories in China and overseas to evaluate supplier quality performance, conduct factory audits, in-line production monitoring, pre-shipment inspection, container loading monitoring, push corrective actions, and track continuous improvement initiatives.
· Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for cell defects.
· Assist with other quality projects (PV modules, racking, inverters, storage) and back-office operations as needed.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.
· Minimum 6 years of hands-on quality management experience in solar cell manufacturing.
· Deep knowledge of solar cell production processes (PERC, TOPCon, HJT, BC) and quality methodologies.
· Proven experience in leading and driving quality improvement initiatives (e.g., yield improvement, defect reduction, process optimization) across solar cell production lines.
· Professional working proficiency in English and Chinese.
· Strong analytical, reporting, and cross-cultural communication skills.
· Proficient in MS Office.
· Overseas work experience is a plus.
· Willingness to accept extensive travel, including overseas assignments
