Formally established in June 2022, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou)(HKUST(GZ)) is a cooperatively-run university between the Chinese mainland and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. HKUST(GZ) has obtained approval from the Ministry of Education (MoE) and become the first legally-independent educational institution co-established by the Mainland and Hong Kong since the announcement and implementation of the “Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area” and the “Overall Plan for Deepening Globally Oriented Comprehensive Co-operation amongst Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao in Nansha of Guangzhou”. With a spirit of pioneering innovation, HKUST(GZ) charts new territories in cross-disciplinary education and explores new frontiers in pedagogies, aiming to serve as a role model of the mainland-Hong Kong integrated educational development and become a world-famous high-level university, endeavoring to nurture future-oriented, high-level and innovative talents.
In response to the increasingly complex challenges faced by the rapidly changing world, HKUST(GZ) adopts a brand-new and cross-disciplinary academic structure featuring “Hub” and “Thrust” to substitute the conventional one characterized by “school” and “department”, facilitating cross-disciplinary integration while vigorously developing emerging and frontier disciplines. This is a groundbreaking move in the higher education community across the globe.
岗位职责：
（1）应用开发与迭代：聚焦校园智能化存量应用系统（物联网平台、校园大脑、体育馆预约、水电计费、访客管理、AIGC管理软件等），负责现有功能模块优化整合、遗留问题修复、bug排查整改、第三方接口对接调试、代码重构与性能调优，依托现有项目底座迭代升级，保障系统功能贴合用户业务需求、运行稳定流畅；
(2) 系统部署与运维：负责校园智能化应用系统的环境搭建、部署上线、日常运维与故障排查，保障服务高可用。
Duties:
(1) Application Development & Iteration: Focus on existing intelligent campus applications (IoT Platform, Campus Brain, Gymnasium Reservation System, Utility Billing System, Visitor Management System, AIGC Management Software, etc.). Responsible for functional module optimization and integration, legacy issue resolution, bug fixing and troubleshooting, third-party API integration and debugging, code refactoring, and performance tuning. Drive iterative upgrades based on existing system architectures to ensure alignment with business requirements and maintain high system stability and operational fluency.
(2) System Deployment & Operations: Responsible for environment provisioning, deployment orchestration, production rollout, routine operations, and troubleshooting for campus intelligent application systems, ensuring high availability and service reliability.
任职资格:
(1) 至少5年或以上软件开发与运维经验；
(2) 本科及以上学历，计算机、 IT 或其他相关专业；
(3) 具备全面的应用系统全栈开发能力，熟练掌握Java/Go/JavaScript/Python等至少两种以上主流编程语言，并具备利用AI智能体工具开发实际经验；
(4) 精通Windows, Linux 等主流操作系统的操作与环境部署；
(5) 有 Docker、K8s容器化云部署实际项目经验；
(6) 熟悉 MySQL、Redis 等数据库的设计、使用、部署与性能优化；
(7) 自驱力强，责任心强，可独立完成工作，具备优秀的问题解决能力与团队协作意识。
Requirements as Advantages:
(1) 有微服务/分布式架构设计、DevOps 落地、万级用户规模高并发系统开发经验；
(2) 有 AI 智能化应用、BI 数据智能项目落地经验；
(3) 持有相关行业认证证书，有回归测试、压力测试等测试工具使用经验；
(4) 有教育行业 / 校园智能化或信息化项目开发实践经验；
(5) 具备良好的中英文双语沟通与书面表达能力。
Requirements:
(1) Minimum 5 years of experience in software development and operations.
(2) Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
(3) Possess comprehensive full-stack development capabilities, with proficiency in at least two or more mainstream programming languages such as Java, Go, JavaScript, or Python. Hands-on experience leveraging AI-agent-based development tools is required.
(4) Proficient in system administration and environment configuration across mainstream operating systems, including Windows and Linux.
(5) Hands-on experience with containerization and cloud-native deployment using Docker and Kubernetes (K8s).
(6) Solid experience in the design, implementation, deployment, and performance tuning of relational and in-memory databases such as MySQL and Redis.
(7) Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership, capable of working independently, and demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills and team collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
(1) Experience in microservices architecture, distributed system design, DevOps pipeline implementation, or high-concurrency system development supporting tens of thousands of users.
(2) Proven experience in delivering AI-powered applications or BI-driven data intelligence projects.
(3) Relevant industry certifications; hands-on experience with testing tools for regression testing, stress testing, and performance validation.
(4) Prior experience in developing or deploying campus intelligence or informatization projects within the education sector.
(5) Strong bilingual (Chinese and English) communication skills, both written and verbal.
This is a Mainland appointment, and the appointee will be offered a contract by HKUST(GZ) entity in accordance with the Mainland labor laws and regulations.
