MMC, short for "Much More Colorful", is owned by Zhuhai Gree Meida Technology Co., Ltd. (Hereinafter referred to as Gree Meida). Established in 1986, Gree Meida is a state-owned company and one of the subsidiaries of Zhuhai Gree Group Company, which is a well-known air conditioning manufacturer and one of the TOP 500 enterprises in China and the Forbes best 50 Asia-Pacific publicly tracted companies. Gree Meida started by manufacturing and marketing floppy disks. The first 5.25’ disk in China was invented by Gree Meida.

From those early beginnings, Gree Meida expanded and serviced the floppy disks business around the world. During the 1990s, Gree Meida began to diversify and enter the area of printing solutions. In 2000, the first MMC toner cartridge came out, only two years after the first MMC ink cartridge was released in 1998. Now Gree Meida has a factory covers 136,240 square metres, hires nearly 1000 employees, including 2 R&D teams formed by the most excellent technicians and engineers.
