Main responsibilities:
• Develops designs of underground mining based on production feedback or in accordance with product upgrade roadmap.
• Collaborate and give support to production on machine assembly and testing, sourcing, documentation.
• Develop new designs as part of new development projects, or in response to customer requests.
• Design to meet product technical specifications.
• Ensure designs are in compliance with local legislation.
• Responds to and executes engineering change notices.
• Prepares engineering drawings, BOM.
• Performs design calculations to check the suitability of designs.
• Ensure component approvals, installation certifications and design calculations are kept up to date.
• Business travel (approx. 5%) and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Min. 5 years' designer role experience in construction/automotive machinery industry.
• Bachelor's degree or above in mechanical design.
• Technical background:
1) Mechanical general layout and detail design
2) Understanding of heavy welded steel structures
3) Skillful with PDM-system
• Proficiency with UG NX and CAD is mandatory, better to have experience in Teamcenter or Windchill or SAP or PLM.
• FEA analysis knowledge, work experience is a plus.
• Experience with mobile equipment, diesel engines, electrics, hydraulics, or control systems are very preferable.
• Familiar with the structure and concept design of mining & construction engineering machinery are big plus.
• Familiarity with strength calculations, welding, cast components, or cost-effective design are a plus.
• PC skills include proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Teamwork abilities, self-oriented and active, systematic, exact and perseverance.
• Very strong sense of responsibility and learning capability, and strong practical skills.
• Excellent trouble-shooting skills, ability to communication with stakeholders.
• Proficient in English communication (both verbal and written), can work with overseas colleagues independently (with working experiences in WOFE preferred)
