What we are looking for
Essential
•
Proven
experience auditing and consolidating fragmented automation setups across
multiple teams
•
Strong
framework design skills — Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or equivalent, with
CI/CD integration

Demonstrated
ability to mentor manual testers and upskill non-automation engineers
•
Experience
writing and socialising test strategy documents (test pyramids, risk-based
coverage)
•
Comfortable
influencing without direct authority across multiple engineering teams
Desirable
•
Experience
owning CI/CD test pipelines and managing flakiness at scale
•
Background
working in organisations transitioning from manual-heavy to automation-first QA
•
Familiarity
with writing ADRs or RFCs to guide technical decisions

The right candidate will be pragmatic rather than
perfectionist, and diplomatically opinionated — able to hold a technical point
of view while building consensus across teams that have each invested in their
own approaches. They should be strong written communicators and naturally
collaborative with non-automation colleagues.
