Local IT Security & Compliance
Assume local accountability for the secure and compliant operation of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, endpoints, and locally hosted business or R&D systems.
Act as the designated local authority for implementing and enforcing u-blox global information security policies in compliance with Chinese regulations such as the Cybersecurity Law, Data Security Law, and MLPS 2.0.
Lead and maintain MLPS 2.0 compliance, including system classification, control implementation, documentation, continuous monitoring, and readiness for regulatory inspections and audits.
Own local cybersecurity incident management, including detection, containment, investigation, recovery, and coordination of mandatory regulatory reporting, while ensuring timely escalation to Global IT Security.
Serve as the primary interface with local authorities, regulators, and certified assessment bodies, coordinating inspections and remediation activities.
Direct and oversee local IT service providers and security vendors, ensuring adherence to u-blox security standards and regulatory obligations.
Ensure secure and compliant operation of local business applications, including ERP and office IT systems, and support formal risk acceptance processes in alignment with global governance.
Define and activate local IT continuity, backup, and disaster recovery measures in coordination with Global IT to ensure business resilience.
Own local asset management and system inventories, including configuration baselines for all MLPS-scoped systems.
Implement and enforce access governance, logging, vulnerability management, patching, and system hardening in line with global standards and local regulatory expectations.
Represent the China organization in global IT and Information Security governance, providing local expertise and ensuring effective alignment between global policies and local regulatory requirements.
Promote and enforce employee compliance through security awareness initiatives and adherence to corporate security policies.

Experience and Qualifications
University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in IT operations with significant responsibility for information security.
Demonstrated experience with MLPS 2.0 implementation and regulatory inspections.
Strong practical knowledge of the China Cybersecurity Law and Data Security Law.
Experience in managing cybersecurity incidents and coordinating with regulatory authorities.
Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001 or equivalent information security frameworks.
Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ are advantageous.
Fluent Mandarin Chinese and English (written and spoken).
Operation and support of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and related software tools.
Identity and Access Management (IAM) tool experience is a plus.
Utilization of a helpdesk ticketing system/ITSM tool such as Jira.
Working knowledge of basic Networking, Infrastructure, and IT Security.
Technical skills to support mixed Windows and Linux environments.
Understanding of up-to-date technology hardware and software standards, including client hardware peripherals & accessories.
