Global Sourcing Specialist

· Identify and evaluate global manufacturers and suppliers for raw materials, laboratory products, consumables, packaging components, and indirect materials.

· Conduct strategic sourcing activities focused on cost optimization, supplier reliability, and supply continuity for US operations.

· Support supplier selection activities including RFQs, pricing analysis, supplier comparisons, and sourcing recommendations.

· Develop and maintain strong working relationships with domestic and international suppliers.

· Research market trends, material availability, and supply chain risks impacting sourcing activities.

· Support pricing negotiations, lead time discussions, and commercial terms with suppliers and manufacturers.

· Work with suppliers to identify opportunities for cost savings, improved service levels, and sourcing efficiencies.

· Coordinate supplier communications related to pricing updates, supply availability, and delivery expectations.

· Escalate significant supplier concerns, risks, or commercial matters to local management as appropriate.

· Ensure sourcing activities align with company procurement policies and approval processes.

· Prepare sourcing analyses, supplier comparisons, and supporting documentation for management review and purchasing approval.

· Maintain accurate supplier records, pricing information, and sourcing documentation within ERP systems.

· Support supplier qualification and compliance activities in coordination with Quality and Regulatory teams.

· Cross-train across related functions to ensure operational flexibility and team coverage.

· Maintain a foundational understanding of this position and other similar roles to provide support during staff absences, peak demand, or special projects.

· Perform all other duties as assigned, including any additional responsibilities necessary to support the success of the department and organization.

· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field preferred.

· Minimum 3–5 years of sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or purchasing experience in a life science, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, or regulated manufacturing environment preferred.

· Experience working with international suppliers and global procurement activities preferred.

· Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

· Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment.
