Senior Apparel Specialist – China (Dongguan)
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Apparel Specialist to join our new China office based in Dongguan. This role will support HQ in managing apparel sourcing activities, production follow-up, supplier coordination, and operational execution across the China supply base.
The ideal candidate is independent, agile, solution-oriented, and capable of working effectively in a new and evolving setup while maintaining strong alignment with HQ teams.

Key Responsibilities
Production & Sourcing Support
• Follow up apparel production status, including WIP tracking and delivery monitoring
• Support sourcing activities through supplier coordination, factory communication, and operational follow-up
• Conduct supplier and factory visits to assess production capabilities and operational performance
• Support cost benchmarking, supplier data collection, and market intelligence gathering
Supplier Management & Coordination
• Maintain close communication with suppliers to ensure alignment on production timelines, quality expectations, and delivery requirements
• Support issue resolution related to production, quality, and shipment risks
• Identify potential challenges proactively and escalate key risks in a timely manner
Product Development Support
• Support HQ and PD teams with on-the-ground supplier coordination during development stages
• Provide DFM (Design for Manufacturing) input and manufacturing feasibility feedback
• Assist with cost validation and product optimization discussions with suppliers
Reporting & Communication
• Maintain clear and structured communication with HQ teams
• Prepare production, sourcing, and supplier status updates
• Ensure transparency and alignment between suppliers, China office, and HQ stakeholders
Operational Support
• Travel regularly to supplier factories within China and potentially other Asian sourcing regions
• Support the setup and continuous improvement of sourcing processes within the China office

Profile & Key Competencies
Technical Experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in apparel sourcing, production follow-up, or supplier management
• Strong experience in outerwear and cut & sew categories, knitwear knowledge is a plus
• Good understanding of garment construction, manufacturing processes, costing, and supplier capabilities
• Experience working directly with factories and suppliers in China
