Assistant Mechanical Engineer

岗位职责:
1. Plastic Part Design & Optimization
• Assist in designing/optimizing plastic parts for manufacturability, performance, and cost
• Support DFM implementation and review 3D models/2D drawings
2. Tooling Design & Support
• Collaborate with toolmakers/suppliers to design and procure injection molds
• Review mold designs for quality and production requirements
• Lead prototype tooling development for early validation
• Improve existing tooling for better performance, longevity, and cycle time
3. Injection Molding Process
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot molding presses
• Optimize molding parameters (temperature, pressure, cycle time)
• Conduct root cause analysis for defects and implement fixes
• Perform process validation
4. Mold Flow Analysis
• Assist with mold flow simulation tools (flow, cooling, warpage)
• Organize simulation results to support design improvements
5. Supplier Management
• Manage external molding suppliers (quality, delivery, specifications)
• Conduct supplier audits and drive continuous improvement
• Act as primary technical liaison for suppliers
• Evaluate supplier performance metrics
6. Plastic Materials
• Understand the properties and application of general resin materials and engineering plastics
• Support material testing and performance verification
7. Quality & Continuous Improvement
• Develop quality control plans for plastic components
• Participate in FMEA and quality initiatives
• Drive process optimization, waste reduction, and cost savings
8. Technical Support & Collaboration
• Provide daily technical support to manufacturing, quality, and sales teams
• Communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders (suppliers, customers)
任职资格:
• Bachelor's degree or above in mechanical design, mechanical manufacturing, mold engineering or related fields
• 0–2 years of working experience in plastic industry or injection molding field; fresh graduate is acceptable
• Ability to assist in operating and troubleshooting injection molding machines
• Basic understanding of injection mold structure and prototype mold concepts
• Basic exposure to mold flow analysis tools is a plus
• Able to use common CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD) for basic modeling and drawing
• Basic knowledge of plastic material properties and processing requirements
• Able to read and understand technical drawings; GD&T knowledge is preferred
• Good problem-solving, analytical and learning abilities
• Good English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proactive, careful and able to work both independently and in a team
• Able to adapt to fast-paced manufacturing environment
