Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable General Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations and support financial reporting for our growing solar panel trading business. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of US accounting principles, experience in trading or inventory-based businesses, and the ability to work cross-functionally with operations and sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain accurate and timely general ledger entries in accordance with US GAAP
· Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor payments and customer invoicing
· Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations on a regular basis
· Record and track inventory transactions related to solar panel purchases, sales, and logistics
· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
· Support month-end and year-end closing processes
· Assist with sales tax compliance, filings, and audits across multiple states
· Monitor cash flow and assist with cash management and forecasting
· Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and banks as needed
· Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements
· Support management with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting
Qualifications & Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
· 5+ years of experience as a General Accountant or similar role
· Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accounting best practices
· Experience with inventory accounting and trading/distribution businesses preferred
· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle ERP, CRM, WMS systems etc.,)
· Strong Excel skills and comfort working with financial data
· Understanding of US sales tax and multi-state compliance is a plus
· High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
· Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Able to travel internationally
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in renewable energy, solar, or energy-related industries
· CPA or CPA-track candidate is a plus
· Experience working with international suppliers or import/export transactions
· Fluency in English required; English is the primary working language
